Cut and Assemble Paper Airplanes That Fly: Eight Models in Full Color
Published in Paperback by Dover Pubns (June, 1989)
Author: Arthur Baker
Average review score:

My 3 year old son loves these planes!
These are colorful and imaginatively designed paper airplanes. All you need to assemble them are sissors, glue, and paper clips. Assembly is straightforward. Now, the planes won't win any contest for distance in flying. They often don't fly in a straight line. But my 3 year old boy loves them. He loves it when Daddy builds an airplane for him. They fly, and even fly after getting beat up by a 3-year old's play. Just think, 8 airplanes for $5. What a great deal. I gave these these to my son at Christmas and have built 4 already (3 months later). I suggest you don't build them all at once. Space them out as treats. I highly recommend these!

Daddy's Gone A-Hunting
Published in Paperback by Harper Mass Market Paperbacks (October, 1995)
Author: Nancy Baker Jacobs
Average review score:

MORE PAGE-TURNING SUSPENSE FROM NANCY BAKER JACOBS.
Nancy Baker Jacobs makes her characters and their predicaments so real that readers will feel as if they are experiencing the ordeal with her characters. This is one reason why you won't want to put the book down once you've started it.

Ms. Jacobs also tackles such topical issues as sexism and ageism in the media and the trials of being a single mother with an adopted child.

Be sure to read Ms. Jacobs's other fine suspense novels, as well as the books in the Devon MacDonald series.

The Dalelands Frs1 (Forgotten Realms Game Accessory Series)
Published in Paperback by Wizards of the Coast (November, 1993)
Authors: Laura Lakey and L. Richard, III Baker
Average review score:

Classic overview of the heartlands of the Realms
By far one of the most elusive supplements for the Forgotten Realms, this wonderful sourcebook details the heartlands of the Realms - the Dales! The lore includes: an overview of the region, its power, cultures and influence, history, political relations, and classic chapters on each Dale that cover customs, secrets, magic, monsters, adventure hooks, trade, law and order, temples, ruins, heroes, cities, maps, and more. Some of the best chapters include Shadowdale (home of Elminster himself), Tarkhaldale (the Lost Dale), the realm of Randal Morn, and much more! One of the best compendiums of Realmslore ever printed, and very hard to find.

Reveals the roots of Satanism and its practices
There have been plenty of titles on witchcraft and spirituality but relatively few on modern demonology: Demons Of The Modern World examines the spiritual and psychological ramifications of demonology, considering interplays between belief systems and psychology and considering the history and culture of beliefs in supernatural forces. Chapters focus on Western civilization as they reveal the roots of Satanism and its practices.

Developmental Speech and Language Disorders
Published in Hardcover by Guilford Press (10 April, 1987)
Authors: Dennis Cantwell and Lorian Baker
Average review score:

An important seminal work in a little understood area.
In exhaustive research over a three-year period, psychiatrist Cantwell, linguist Baker and colleagues, including Howard Grey, Ph.D. Richard Mattison, M.D. and Beth Phillips, M.A. looked at the rarely considered incidence of psychiatric disorders in children with speech and language disorders. That study, conducted at Community Speech and Hearing Center in Tarzana, California contributed a great deal to the authors' understanding of factors affecting the development of speech and language in the young child. Too often, texts dealing with speech and language acquisition reflect a narrow educationally-based developmental focus without consideration of the impact of psychoemotional, biochemical, or neurological forces. This text is highly recommended for developmental teachers, theorists and therapists seeking such a comprehensive orientation.

Digby & Kate and the Beautiful Day by Barbara Baker
Delightfully written beginning reader! My Rachel, (6 yrs.) became an immediate fan of the charming characters in this story. The chapter breaks only encourage the reader to find out more of Kate and Digby's friendship and what they'll do together next. Like any good storybook, the author and the illustrator have together created new friends for children to relate to and treasure. A joy!
